Jon's musical career began in 1969 when, at 10 years
old, he was invited to join the Rock Band "The Wet Burritos". After touring
the United States for thirteen months with the infamous MC5, he gave up the
road for an illustrious career as a studio musician for Motown Records. He
can be heard playing several instruments, un-credited, with such artists
as Stevie Wonder, Rick James and the Rare Earth.
In
addition to playing Guitar, Electric Bass, Bouzouki, Mandolin and 48 button
Concertina, he is also an accomplished Pianist and Percussionist, having
recently completed a 15month residency at the famous Berklee School of music
in Boston MA.
When not on tour with the Conklin Ceili Band he enjoys
racing his F-1 track car, mounting climbing and blue water sailing.
He is also
a notorious liar and braggart.
