Jon's musical career began in 1969 when, at 10 years old, he was invited to join the Rock Band "The Wet Burritos".  After touring the United States for thirteen months with the infamous MC5, he gave up the road for an illustrious career as a studio musician for Motown Records.  He can be heard playing several instruments, un-credited, with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Rick James and the Rare Earth.

In addition to playing Guitar, Electric Bass, Bouzouki, Mandolin and 48 button Concertina, he is also an accomplished Pianist and Percussionist, having recently completed a 15month residency at the famous Berklee School of music in Boston MA.

When not on tour with the Conklin Ceili Band he enjoys racing his F-1 track car, mounting climbing and blue water sailing.

He is also a notorious liar and braggart.
